10/18 - Bemus defeated Sherman 18-14:  Bemus Point Dragons - Varsity Win Lakeshore Midget Football League! 

The Bemus Point Dragons defeated the Sherman Wild Eagles in the league championship game Saturday 18 – 14.  Jeff Tampe started the scoring for Bemus with a 3 yard touchdown run, Aaron Germain returned an interception for the Dragon’s second score of the day and Chris Jones punched in the go ahead score from a yard out. 

Another strong defensive effort from the Dragon’s sealed the game in the final seconds.  Dalton Bolles led the defense once again with 6 tackles and John Scroxton recorded 5 stops.  Hunter Kurek and Matt Golombek each had a sack along with 4 tackles.  Jason Seiberg and Germain rounded out the defense with 4 tackles each. 

The Sherman Wild Eagles’ performance was led by Andrew Graham's interception that he returned 78 yards for a touchdown. Corey Voorhis had a 73-yard touchdown run.  Nick Sjaden had an excellent passing day with 132 yards.  Andrieane Frew, Kyle Hanold, Trevor Enterline and Voorhis led the Eagles’ firm defense.

10/11 - Westfield defeated Sherman 20-14:  Opening kickoff Westfields Adam Carpenter runs it back for 73 yards and a TD to start off this Saturday  night in Westfield.  He rushes for a total of 127 yards with 3 touchdowns total.  Dillon Kawski with 70 yards rushing and 40 yard TD pass to hook-up with Carpenter.  Cameron Wright bulls thru the night with 80 yards up the gut. O-Line a great job up front.  Defensively Cameron Wright, Danny Demarco and Caleb Genthner all had 5 tackles, Jon Coe and Dillon Kawski 4 tackles each Mike Okerlund with a pick.  Great red zone play for the entire defense.  Sherman's Andrew Graham rushes for 110 yards while Corey Voorhis goes 35 yards and a TD.  Chris Greiner runs in for 3 yard TD and Nick Sjoden adds a PAT.  For the defense Dylan Enterline is huge with 8 tackles.  Chris Greiner has 7 tackles, Dylan Scouten 6 and Devin Moorhead 5 with a INT. Great football game and a great night for it.

10/4 - Sherman defeated Chautauqua Lake 26-14:  The Sherman Ripley Wild Eagles put another win on the board defeating Chautauqua Lake Thundercats 26-14 Saturday afternoon. Andrew Graham scored on a 2 yard touchdown. Corey Voorhis ran 60 yards for a touchdown and had a 2 point conversion play. Teammate Zack Szyplik had a 51 yard run for a touchdown. On the defense side of the ball Devin Moorhead had a interception and ran the ball back 39 yards for a touchdown. Chris Greiner had 8 tackles, Dylan Muller had 7 tackles and Adrienna Frew had 6 tackles.  The the Thundercats Cody Thomas had a 70 yard run for a touchdown and Jeremiah Russin had a 2 yard touchdown run. For the Thundercats defense Thomas had 5 tackles, Anthony Pezzala and Zack Sears each had 6 tackles.

9/27 - Bemus defeated Sherman 14-0:  The Bemus Point Dragons’ defense comes up big with a shutout over the Sherman Wild Eagles to continue their wining streak.  Dalton Bolles with 5 tackles and a fumble recovery led the Dragon defense. Chris Jones recorded 6 tackles; Ryan Boughton and Josh Bernhardt had 5 tackles each. Matt Golombek finished the strong defensive effort with 4 tackles and a sack.  Aaron Germain grabbed a touch down pass from Chris Jones for the game’s first score. Jones also ran for a touch down and a two-point conversion.  Devin Morehead led the Sherman defense with 5 tackles and 2 interceptions. Chris Greiner recorded 5 tackles, Kyle Hanold 4 tackles and Andrew Frew 3 stops.  Nick Sjaden made 2 tackles and had an interception.  Corey Voorhis led the Wild Eagles offense with 28 yards.

9/20 - Sherman defeated Chautauqua Lake 30-20:  Saturday night was a perfect night for football and the Sherman Ripley Wild Eagles varsity keep their perfect record by defeating the Chautauqua lake Thundercats 30 to 20. The Wild Eagles Corey Voorhis had 3 touchdowns and 56 yards Rushing. Andrew Graham had 61 yard rushing and 1 touchdown.  Teammate Devin Moorhead rushed or 73 Yards and a 2 point conversion. Dylan Muller and Nick Sjoden each had a 2 point conversion play.  On the defense side of the ball for the Wild Eagles it was led by Chris Greiner, Trevor Enterline , Dylan Scouten and Devin Moorhead.   For the Chautauqua Lake Thundercats on offense Nick Zentz had 155 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. Cody Thomas scored the third touchdown for the T-Cats. For the defense Nick Zentz led the team with 6 tackles.

9/13 - Sherman defeated Brocton 22-8:  Sherman Ripley Wild Eagles Varsity kept their record perfect with a win over the Brocton Bulldogs Saturday night 22 to 8. Corey Voorhis started the scoring on a 6 yard touchdown run followed by teammates Chris Greiner with a 1 yard touchdown run and Nick Snoden with a 1 yard touchdown run.  Dylan Muler caught a 2 yard pass for a 2 point conversion.  Dylan Scouten had a saftey for the Wild Eagles. On the Defensive side, the whole Wild Eagles team played an awesome game.  For the Brocton Bulldogs, Scott Laurie scored on a 60 yard touchdown pass and teammate Jim McDonald led the defense with 10 tackles.

9/6 - Sherman defeated Panama 22-6:  Sherman/Ripley Wild Eagles defeated the Panama Panthers 22 -6 on Saturday afternoon. Cory Voorhis started the scoring on a 32 yd touchdown run.  He finished with 49 yds rushing for the day.  Andrew Graham had 68 yrs rushing, 1 touchdown and 1 extra point.  Devin Moorhead had 34 yds rushing and 1 touchdown.  Chris Greiner rounded out the scoring with a 2 pt conversion.  Defensive standout for  the Wild Eagles were Dylan Scouten, Trevor Enterline, Corey Voorhis and Adrienne Frew.  For Panamas Jared McMaster scored on a 70 yd kick return.  Sawyer Eggleston had a 25 yd pass to Bryce Payne.  Defensive standouts for Panama were Steven Enlow with 12 tackles and 1 fumble recovery.  Derek Johnson had 10 tackles and Kelvin Eddy had an interception.

8/30 - Sherman defeated Brocton 28-12:  The Wild Eagles varsity started the season with a win against the Brocton 28 to 12.  The Wild Eagles' Corey Voorhis started them off with a 55 yard touchdown run.  He also had 90 yards rushing for the day.   Devin Moorhead added 62 yards rushing and a touchdown.  Andrew Graham had 56 yards and a touchdown.  Dylan Muller rounded out the scoring with a 15 yard touchdown pass. The defense for the Wild Eagles was a total team effort.

For the Bulldogs on the offensive side was Devin Walter and teammate Jordon Patterson who scored for them. For the Bulldogs defensive side was Jim McDonald with 8 tackles and Tayler Appel with 6 Tackels.
