10/18 - Bemus JVs defeated Sherman JVs
14-0: The Bemus Point Junior
Varsity completed an undefeated season with
a 14-0 playoff victory over Sherman on
Saturday afternoon. Jed Micek and Nathan
Saar each contributed rushing touchdowns to
account for the scoring. Team defense
led to the championship season. The Red
Dragons' eighth consecutive win was their
sixth shutout of the year.
9/27 - Bemus JVs defeated Sherman JVs
14-0: Chase Helgren and Jed Micek
each contributed a rushing touchdown as the
Bemus Point JVs beat Sherman/Ripley 14 - 0
in LSMFL action on Saturday afternoon.
Mitchell Sandberg led the Red Dragon defense
with 5 tackles. Sanberg also helped to
preserve the shutout with a second half
fumble recovery.
9/20 - Chautauqua Lake JVs defeated
Sherman JVs 20-8:
Running duties were pretty well split with
all 3 running backs rushing for over a 100
yards and each scoring a touch down.(John
Piper, Ryan Miller, and Courtney Hewes.
Defense was led by Courtney Hewes with 7
tackles & 6 Assists. John Piper,Braydyn
Wappat & Ryan Miller also had a great day on
defense. Sherman's # 24 Garrett Owens
led the offense with over a 100 yard game
along with the solo TD of the game for the
Sherman Wild Eagles. #3 Aarien Cole led the
Defense with an outstanding effort for his
team.
9/13 - Sherman JVs defeated Brocton JVs
16-6:
Sherman-Ripley Wild Eagles JVs get there
first win Saturday night against the Brocton
Bulldogs 16 to 6. The Wild Eagles were led
by Jacob Ames with a 26 yard touchdown run.
Garret Ownes also had a 65 yard touchdown
run. The Wild Eagles defense was led by
Nathan Ottaway, Garret Owens and Jeremy
Cole.
9/6/08 - Panama JVs defeated Sherman JVs
18-0: Panama's JV Panthers squared off
against Sherman in a tight battle, with
Panama eventually posting an 18-0 win over
the visiting Wildeagles. Clayton Manwaring
rushed 6 times for 138 yards and 2 scores
for the Panthers, while his backfield mate
Dylan Bergman added a score of his own,
toting the rock 5 times for 20 yards on the
ground. Dylan Mescall contributed 49 hard
fought yards on 8 carries, most of which
came up the middle.
Defensively, Dylan Bergman led the Panthers
with 2 interceptions, 2 solo tackles, and 7
assists. Dylan Mescall and Ryan Applebee
each posted a solo tackle and 8 assists a
piece. Sherman turned the ball over 6 times
to an opportunistic Panther defense. In
addition to Bergman's interceptions, Ryan
Applebee picked off a pass and Dylan Mescall,
Wyatt Jackson, and Josh Eddy all recovered
fumbles.
