10/18 - Bemus defeated Sherman 18-14:  Bemus Point Dragons - Varsity Win Lakeshore Midget Football League! 

The Bemus Point Dragons defeated the Sherman Wild Eagles in the league championship game Saturday 18 – 14.  Jeff Tampe started the scoring for Bemus with a 3 yard touchdown run, Aaron Germain returned an interception for the Dragon’s second score of the day and Chris Jones punched in the go ahead score from a yard out. 

Another strong defensive effort from the Dragon’s sealed the game in the final seconds.  Dalton Bolles led the defense once again with 6 tackles and John Scroxton recorded 5 stops.  Hunter Kurek and Matt Golombek each had a sack along with 4 tackles.  Jason Seiberg and Germain rounded out the defense with 4 tackles each. 

The Sherman Wild Eagles’ performance was led by Andrew Graham's interception that he returned 78 yards for a touchdown. Corey Voorhis had a 73-yard touchdown run.  Nick Sjaden had an excellent passing day with 132 yards.  Andrieane Frew, Kyle Hanold, Trevor Enterline and Voorhis led the Eagles’ firm defense.

10/11 - Bemus defeated Panama 26-6:  Bemus Point Red Dragons earned their sixth win of the season over the Panama Panthers 26-6.  The Dragons win was earned by a strong defense once again.  Dalton Bolles led the Dragons’ effort with 7 tackles. Jason Seiberg, Matt Golombek and Corey Wefing each recorded 4 tackles.  Graham Nelson grabbed an interception and Seiberg came up with a fumble recovery.  The Dragon offense included a 25-yard scamper by Aaron Germain for a touchdown and a 40-yard touch down pass to Chris Jones. Jeff Tampe grabbed a pass for a 30-yard touchdown reception, Germain ran for the 2-point conversion and Jones also ran in for a score.  Robb Benson ran 45 yards for the Panama score.  Eric Schutt and Derek Johnson also ran well on offense and Schutt grabbed an interception. Sawyer Eggleston and Stephen Enlow each recorded 9 tackles to lead the defense.  Jordon Todd and Kelvin Eddy rounded out the Panther defense with 5 stops each.

 

10/4 - Westfield defeated Bemus 22-18:  Saturday in Bemus the Golden Hawks come out with a bang as Adam Carpenter rushes for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Dillon Kawski rushes for 80 yards and a touchdown, while Dylan MacCubbin hits Danny Demarco for a PAT and Cameron Wright runs in a PAT.  Defensively for Golden Hawks Cameron Wright and Adam Carpenter come up with 8 tackles each, Dylan MacCubbin 2 interceptions and Dillon Kawski, Mike Okerlund both with 6 tackles.  The Dragons come back strong in second half as Chris Jones passes for 179 yards and has 72 yards rushing along with 2 touchdowns and a PAT.  Corey Wefing 118 yards receiving and 2 touchdown catches and 29 yards rushing, Aaron Germain 53 yards rushing with a PAT. Lee Wascher, Hunter Kurek, Dalton Bolles, Corey Wefing all strong with 6 tackles.  The Bemus defense scored a safety.  Jon Scroxton and Chris Jones both add 5 tackles and what an exiting game for all who attended.

 

9/20 - Bemus defeated Brocton 22-0:  Bemus Dragon’s Defensive Team comes up big with a shutout against the Brocton Bulldogs.  Hunter Kurek led the Bemus Point Dragons’ defense effort with 7 tackles.  John Scroxton, Josh Bernhardt and Colin Dahlberg each recorded 5 tackles.  A strong effort was made by Ryan Boughton with 2 sacks. Kyle Richardson and Chris Jones each grabbed an interception to complete the shutout.  Dalton Bolles, Jeff Tampe and Cory Wefing each ran in for a touchdown.  Jones and Wefing each added a two point conversion to complete their game.  Wefing finished with 101 total yards for the day.  The Brocton Bulldogs defense was led by Derrick Montgomery with 2 interceptions and James McDonald with 8 tackles.  Devin Walter recorded 6 tackles while Macalum Buchanan had 5 tackles and Connor Dolce had 4 tackles.

 

9/13 - Bemus Point defeated Panama 36-12:  Bemus Point Red Dragons continued their winning streak Saturday afternoon with a 36 to 12 victory over the Panama Panthers.  The Dragons win came with five different players scoring touchdowns.  Jeff Tampe, Chad Klingensmith, Andy Farnham, Aaron Germain and Chris Jones all made it into the end zone for the win.  Corey Pietrocarlo and Dalton Bolles both scored on two point conversions.  Chad Klingensmith led a strong defensive effort with seven tackles. Gram Nelson, Aaron Germain, Andy Farnham and Lee Wascher each made 4 tackles.  Dalton Bolles also made a tackle for a safety.

 

9/6 - Bemus defeated Chautauqua Lake 26-6:  Bemus Red Dragons rolled onto their second win of the season over Chautauqua Lake.  The Dragons win was earned by a strong defense led by Hunter Kurek with 7 tackles and Aaron Germain with 5 tackles.  Andy Farnham, Colin Dahlberg and Jacob Johnson completed the stingy defense with 3 tackles each.  Cory Wefing ran for 150 total yards and a touch down to led the Bemus offense.  Chris Jones tossed a touch down pass to Jeff Tampe and Aaron Germain.   Tampe also added a 43-yard touch down run and Dalton Bolles tacked on another 42 yards rushing.  Nick Zentz led Chautauqua Lake’s running game with 106 yards. Cody Thomas ran for 22 yards and Donald Merritt added 30 yards and a TD.

 

8/29 - Westfield Goldenhawks vs Bemus Point Dragons:
Bemus Point earned their first win of the season over Westfield by a score of 22 to 14.  Bemus was lead by Corey Wefing with 130 total yards, 2 TD and 2 Interceptions, Chris Jones 104 total yards, Josh Bernhardt 36 yards rushing and 5 tackles. Dalton Bolles added 31 yards, 1 TD and 4 tackles.  Dragons defense was led by Ryan Boughton with 2 fumble recoveries, 2 tackles and Lee Wascher with 4 tackles. Jake Swan, Chad Kinginsmith and Matt Golombek also sured up the defense with 3 tackles each. 

Westfield was led by Adam Carpenter with 121 yards, 10 tackles, Damian Raynor 55 yards, TD,Dillon Kawski 35 yards and 7 tackles, Cameron Wright 27 yards, TD and 3 tackles, Danny DeMarco with 10 tackles. Mike Okerlund, Caleb Genthner, Michael Catalano and Chris Brooker supported the defense with strong efforts.
