10/24 - Bemus Point JVs tied
Frewsburg JVs 8-8:
Bemus Point and Frewsburg
battled to an 8-8 tie on
Saturday afternoon in the
junior varsity championship
game. Each team was
declared co-champions.
Christian Proctor's 66 yard
touchdown run in the fourth
quarter set up his two point
toss to Hunter Whippo to
preserve the tie. In
the previous series, Bemus
Point's Kass Howard forced a
fumble recovered by Michael
Welsh. Four plays later,
Bradley Bihler scored on a
four yard run. AJ Putt
provided the conversion.
Stout defensive efforts were
provided by both teams.
Matt Hair, Josh Watson,
Clark Wiltsie, and Whippo
led the Bears. Trevor Micek,
Brody Nolan, Bradley Benson,
and Howard were tackling
leaders for the Dragons.
Bihler also recovered a
fumble for Bemus Point.
10/17 - Bemus JVs defeated
Panama JVs 6-0:
Bradley Bihler's eight yard
touchdown run in overtime
lifted Bemus Point to a
hard-fought 6-0 win over
Panama in semi-final playoff
action. Trevor Micek led
the Dragons with 12 tackles
as they posted their first
shutout of the season. Kass
Howard recorded a fumble
recovery to end a Panama
drive. A stout Panama
defense led by Nathan Stow,
Garrett Goldberg, and Ryan
Applebee held the Dragons to
109 yards rushing.
10/10 - Bemus Point JVs
defeated Brocton JVs 32-8:
Bemus Point defeated Brocton
32-6. Simon Olson, Bradley
Benson, Trevor Micek, and
Michael Welsh all rushed for
scores for the Dragons.
Welsh also connected with AJ
Putt for a 65 yard touchdown
pass. Leading tacklers
for Bemus Point's defense
included Kass Howard,
Bradley Bihler, Michael
Derby, and Micek. Nash
Nelson intercepted a fourth
quarter pass to end a
Bulldog drive.
Brocton's Steven Krystofiak
hit Derek Walter for a 60
yard touchdown in the first
half.
10/3 - Bemus Point JVs
defeated Panama JVs 14-6:
Simon Olson's 62 yard run
set up AJ Putt's one yard
score in the second half to
lift Bemus Point over Panama
14-6. Bradley Bihler
opened the scoring for Bemus
Point with a 2 yard
touchdown run, while
Panama's Chris Blose
countered with a 63 yard
rushing touchdown.
Trevor Micek led the
Dragons' defense in tackles
and Michael Welsh ended a
fourth quarter Panama drive
with an interception.
9/26 - Bemus JV defeated
Sherman JV 20-12:
Michael Welsh connected with
Patrick Nelson for one
touchdown and rushed for a
second score as Bemus Point
beat Sherman 20-12 in LSMFL
junior varsity action.
AJ Putt rushed for 64 yards
and a touchdown for Bemus
Point. The Dragons defense
took advantage of three Wild
Eagle turnovers. Bradley
Benson had two fumble
recoveries while Trevor
Micek chipped in with an
interception. Kass Howard
and Brody Nolan led the
Dragons in tackles.
Garrett Owens rushed for a
score and tossed a touchdown
pass to Aaron Swan for
Sherman.
9/12 - Bemus Point JVs
defeated Frewsburg JVs
18-12:
Patrick Nelson's 64 yard
touchdown reception and
Bradley Bihler's 2 rushing
touchdowns led Bemus point
to a close 18-12 win over
Frewsburg. Christian
Proctor provided a pair of
64 yard touchdown runs for
Frewsburg. AJ Putt set
up one of Bemus Point's
touchdowns with a 45 yard
run, while the defense was
led by Trevor Micek, Chris
Krempa, Kass Howard, and
Brody Nolan.
9/5 - Bemus Point JVs
defeated Westfield JVs 34-16:
Patrick Nelson and Simon Olson rushed for
touchdowns while Michael Welsh passed for
three scores as Bemus Point defeated
Westfield 34-16 in LSMFL junior varsity
action. Trevor Micek and Welsh each
had interceptions to end Westfield scoring
drives. Body Nolan led the Dragon defense
in tackles and Kass Howard chipped in with
two sacks. Joey Quagliana provided a
25 yard touchdown run and Nicholas Chasse
grabbed a 50 year touchdown pass for
Westfield.
8/30 - Bemus Point JVs defeated Chautauqua
Lake JVs 28-14:
Patrick Nelson returned the second half
kickoff for a touchdown to break open a
close game as Bemus Point prevailed over
Chautauqua Lake 28-14 in junior varity
action in the Lake Shore Midget Football
League. Michael Welsh threw for a
score while Trevor Micek chipped in with a
rushing touchdown for Bemus Point. Brody
Nolan and Kass Howard led the Bemus Point
defense with six tackles each. Nick
Hudson spearheaded the Thundercat attack
with 125 yards rushing and a score. |
