Southwestern defeated Falconer 24-7: The
SW Spartans defeated the Falconer Tigers 24-7 Saturday night at Bill
Race Field. The Spartans got on the board first, Curtis Carlson's 65
yard run, set up a Ben Burk 1 yard plunge and the Spartans led 6-0.
Carlson found paydirt in the second quarter from 6 yards out to put
the Spartans up 12-0 at the half. The Spartans continued their surge
in the second half as Jarret Yuchnitz scored from 7 yards out to put
SW ahead 18-0, Michael Sandbloom's 28 yard run up the middle was the
key play on the drive. The Tigers got on the board in the 4th
quarter when Ryan Dustin scored on a nifty 8 yard run, he also added
the extra point and the score was 18-7. On the next possesion Ben
Burk scored his second TD of the game running around the end from 8
yards out and putting the Spartans up 24-7. Carlson led all rushers
with 108 yards, Yuchnitz ran for 95 yards, Burk 31 yards, Sandbloom
28 and Jared Drocy ran for 24 hard fought yards. The Tigers were led
by Ricky Grffith's 83 yards and Ryan Dustin added 55. On defense the
Spartans were led by Brian Westerdahl, Dale Linkous, Joey Lindberg,
Dylan Lundmark and Jake Chamberlin. The Tigers defense was led by
the hard sure tackling of Luke Munella and Bryan Dipetro. With the
win the Spartans will square off against the Cassadaga Cougars this
Saturday in the final week of the JAMFL season.

- Cassadaga defeated Falconer 12-6:
In a
tough battle it was the Cougars that were able to come out on top
during the last game of regular season against the Falconer Jr
Falcons. For Cassadaga it was Jordan Ingerson who ran in for the
first score and took an interception back 35 yards for the Cougars
second score. The Falcons moved the ball well all day and their
defense held the cougars to limited yards most of the second half.
The Falcons put a scoring drive together late in the forth quarter.
At that point the clock was not in their favor and time ran out.
This was Cassadaga's Second win of the season.

- Southside defeated Falconer 33-0:
The
Southside Blue Devils continue to roll as they defeated the Falconer
Tigers 33-0 last Saturday night at Bill Race Field in Falconer. Matt
Nazzaro got Southside out front early scoring from 19 yards out.
Devan Jackson pounded in from the 1 yard line to make the score 12-0
after the 1st quarter. Kevin Mosely accounted for the scoring in the
2nd quarter by rumbling in from 17 yards and then caught the 2 point
conversion pass from Kyle Liuzzo. With the Blue Devils leading 20-0
at the half, the Southside second team offense scored a pair of
touchdowns to finish the scoring. Dominic Santiago hit paydirt from
4 yards out for his 1st career touchdown. Also scoring for the 1st
time was Spencer Muscarella, who scampered in from 1 yard out for
both the touchdown , but the extra point as well. Nazzaro finished
with 129 yards on just 9 carries. Mosely was the leading tackler
with 6 solo stops. Muscarella and Logan Bellardo each had a fumble
recovery. Tank Sherman added a sack for the BlueDevil attack. Tyler
Himes was the leading rusher for Falconer. The Tiger defense was led
by Himes with 11 tackles. Ricky Griffin, Brandon Curtis and Ryan
Dustin each had 8 tackles for Falconer
9/26
- Westside defeated Falconer 6-0:
On a
chilly rainy afternoon at Persell Middle School the WestSide
Panthers held of a late charging Falconer Team with a great
defensive play by Graham Davis and Hunter Peterson to stop Falconer
at the half-yard line to notch their first victory with a 6-0 win.
It was a hard-hitting old time football game; a majority of the game
was played between the 30-yard lines. For Westside Hunter Peterson
led the way galloping for 132 yards and a TD, he also helped anchor
a tough Westside Defense. On the Westside defensive side Andre
Johnson, Dylan Glatz and Jacob Quattrone all played with intensity
and were involved on several tackles. For Falconer Tyler Himes
rolled up 50 rushing tough yards. On the Defensive side Ricky
Griffith and Luke Munella stood out delivering several tackles
defending the Westside ground game.
9/19
- Northside defeated Falconer 26-0:
Northside Warriors defeated the Falconer
Tigers 26-0. Noah Johnson scord on a 2 yard
run. Zacc Kinsey added to the score with a 6
yard scamper and had 102 yards rushing. Zach
Panebianco hit Ben Larson for a 33 yard
touch down. Johnson hit Carlson for the
extra point. Then Alex schupp ran for 26
yards to score the final touch down. The
Warriors Defense did an out standing job by
holding the Tigers and having 3 fumble
recovers by Richard Williams, Schupp and
Tyler Coulter. For the Tigers Luke Munella
had 25 yard rushing and 12 takles. Calvin
Nowicki and Tyler Himes had 9 Tackels a
piece. Northside next game is at
Southwestern at 6:00pm.
9/12 - Dunkirk defeated Falconer 14-12:
In a thrilling 4th quarter which seen
dunkirk scoring to take an 14-6 lead over
falconer, also seen falconer drive right
back down the field and score to pull within
two of the marauders. On the 2pt conversion
to tie the game Dunkirks Jeremy Lockett
intercepted the pass to lock up the marauder
win. The Marauders were led on both sides of
the ball by Geo DeJesus who carried the rock
19 times for 118 yards. He also led the
defense with 15 tackles 5 of which were
tackles for loss. Shane Martinez scored his
frist career varsity touchdown on and 11
yard run. Gage Austin carried the ball 6
times for 30 yards all came in the game
winning drive as he leaped over a falconer
defender for the score. All of which could
not have been done without the terrific
blocking upfront and by josh goodwin. Travis
Maxwell hit Jon McCarthy for the 2pt
conversion. Falconer was led by tayler himes
who had two touchdowns and couldnt be stoped
while leading the falconer offense.
Falconers Ryan Dustin added 8 tackles.
9/5 - Fredonia defeated Falconer 21-7:
The Fredonia offense was led by the running
of Dakota Gardner with 2 touchdowns, Madison
Crowell, Damien Johnson and Cameron Voss (TD
and PAT) while a Patrick Moore to Eric
Swoyer PAT rounded out the scoring for the
orange and black. Leading tacklers for
Fredonia's defense were Mike Pucci,and Ryan
Deas while Daniel Barnes and Eric Swoyer had
interceptions, and Nick Formanowicz and
Steven St George had fumble recoveries.
Falconer was led on offense by Tyler Himes
with a 93 yard Touchdown and on defense by
Calvin Nowicki.
8/28 - Southwestern defeated Falconer
27-0: The defense stepped on the
field first for the Southwestern Spartans
and set the tone for the rest of the game.
The Spartans jumped out to a 6-0 lead on the
running of Curtis Carlson. Carlson's long
run set up a 4 yard touchdown run by
fullback Nick Swanson. The teams battled
back and fourth through out the first half
with the score staying 6-0. The Spartans
came out flying in the second half scoring
21 points behind the touchdown runs of Nick
Cooper, Curtis Carlson and Brian Westerdahl.
The Spartans defense was led by Brian
Westerdahl who was all over the field, Jake
Chamberlin and Mel Eggleston. The Tigers
played a very good game on both sides of the
ball as well. The game was a lot closer than
the final score showed. The Tigers travel to
Fredonia and the Spartans will head to
Dunkirk next Saturday night in JAMFL action. |
