- Falconer JVs defeated Cassadaga JVs 35-6:

- Dunkirk JVs defeated Cassadaga JVs 20-0:
DEFENSE
- The whole defense played tough as Cassadaga held the ball almost
the whole 3rd Quarter and didn’t score, the drive ended with a
Jaziah Riviera interception. Teagan Raynor had a dominant day with
two QB sacks and was in on ten other tackles. Luke Mleczko also has
a big fumble recovery and was tough inside the tackles and Nate
Kaczor also recovered a fumble. OFFENSE - JaQuan Allen had one
carry, a 66yd TD to start the scoring and caught a TD pass from
DeVaun Farnham, ending with a great stiffarm into the endzone.
Chris Williams carried the ball for 73 yards and scored on a 28
yarder to round out the scoring. Casey Surma had two offensive
fumble recoveries in the Dunkirk end with some heads up play.
9/26
- Fredonia JVs defeated Cassadaga JVs 26-0:
Lucas Voss had 58
yards on five carries and Noah Fleckenstein carried the ball twice
for 67 yards. The two running backs scored three touchdowns combined
and the Fredonia offensive unit amassed over 175 yards total in the
first half. On the defensive side of the ball Jacob Green led all
tacklers while Azeem Zaidi had three solo tackles and a fumble
recovery. Lucas Voss collected a fumble in the second half and
scored for Fredonia.
9/19
- Southwestern JVs defeated Cassadaga JVs
46-6:
The Southwestern Spartans Junior Varsity
team got the day started on a positive note
Saturday, defeating the Cassadaga Cougar
JV’s 46-6. Drew Shilling anchored an
impressive offensive line that opened up big
holes throughout the contest. Alex Milliner
rushed for 84 hard fought yards and 1
touchdown. Graham Josephson helped the
offense with 80 yards rushing and 2
touchdowns. Jacob Thorp and Ryan Parker
filled in at running back and did a
fantastic job running the football. Thorp
ran for an impressive 85 yards and 2
touchdowns and Parker helped the Spartan
offense with 30 tuff yards on the ground.
Also playing a solid game was offensive end
Mason Kubinski who hauled in 3 catches on
the day while providing solid blocking all
afternoon. The Spartan Defense was led by
cornerback Mitchell Hartweg. Hartweg, who
had 6 tackles, also scooped up a fumble and
raced 27 yards untouched into the end zone
for a touchdown. Maddie Sullivan had 4
tackles on the day and intercepted a Cougar
pass and ran it back 35 yards for another
defensive touchdown. Other players helping
the defense were Shane Hetrick who had 4
tackles and 1 sack and Collin Melquist
chipped in with 4 tackles and 1 sack. Donny
Dean played an outstanding game as well with
8 tackles, 2 sacks and 1 fumble recovery.
With the win the Spartans JV team improved
to 3-0-1 on the season. The Spartans will be
at home this Saturday as they face the
Northside Warriors at 6:00pm at Charles A.
Lawson Field.
9/12 - Southside JVs defeated Cassadaga
35-19:
The Southside Bluedevils JV squad improved
their record to 3-0 with a 35 to 19 victory
over the Cassadaga JV's on a beautiful day
Saturday at Strider Field. Jordan Olds broke
free for a 65 yard touchdown on the
Bluedevils first offensive play. Quaterback
Gunnar Carlson scored on 64, 67, and 63 yard
runs and tallied 201 rushing yards on 4
carries. Sammy Jackson scored from 37 yards.
The Bluedevils defensive effort was lead by
Jacob Tonkin and Taylor Truver. Each
recorded 10 tackles with (8 for a loss).
Olds also recovered a fumble on defense.
Cassadaga was lead by Levi Moore with 158
yards rushing and 2 TD's and Hunter Thorpe
with 1 TD.
9/5 - Westside JVs defeated Cassadaga JVs
30-6:
On a beautiful afternoon at Persell
Middle School The Westside JV Panthers
jumped out to an early lead and held on for
a 30-6 Victory Versus The Cassadaga
Cougars. On the Offensive Side Korbyns
Nelson led the way with 88 YDs Rushing and
Two TDs. Alex Barnes had 60 Yards and a TD.
Mat Hill Connected on 3 throwing PATS two
with Jacob Samuelson and one with Nelson.
On the Defensive side Priest Jones had the
daily double with an interception returned
for a TD later in the game he picked off the
pitch for another interception. Tyler
Phanco rolled up 7 Tackles, Chris Germonto
forced a fumble and Dylan Scott recovered
the fumble. For Cassadaga Levi Moore was
the workhorse he rolled up 115Yds Rushing
with one TD. The Defensive Standouts were
Dan Torres and Chris Dutton. Westside moves
to 1-1 and plays Northside Saturday at
Washington School. Cassadaga will take on
the SouthSide Blue Devils.
8/29 - Northside JVs defeated Cassadaga
JVs 30-0: The Northside Junior
Varsity team started the year with a victory
over Cassadaga JV's. Jovian Maisonet piled
up 84 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 5
carries. Ryan Nordwall and Austin Prunty
added TD's as well. Defensively, Chris
Whitford caused havic with 9 tackles, an
interception and a fumble recovery. Noah
Larson rose to the occasion defensively with
a 46 yard interception returned for a TD.
The Cassadaga squad played tougher as the
game went on with several long runs and
defensive stops. |
