10/31 - Maple Grove defeated Randolph 49-14:  Coach Brent Brown of the Randolph Cardinals tried his best to rally the Cardinals defense to upset the high powered Maple Grove Red Dragons.  Early in the game, the Randolph defense kept them in the game, but the potent Red Dragon offense finally came to life and proved to be too much for the Randolph Cardinals.  Maple Grove was led by Josh Larson and Joe Caporale who combined for 7 touchdowns.  Caparole was the main threat through the air as he hauled in 7 catches for 191 yards while Larson had 189 yards on the ground on 20 carries.  For the Cardinals, Terry carried the load and scored both touchdowns on the ground.  Maple Grove will face Clymer at Ralph Wilson Stadium next Saturday.

10/25 - Randolph defeated Forestville 50-7:  Since losing their opening two games of the 2008 season, the Cardinals have rattled off 6 straight convincing victories.  This week in the opening round of the Class DD Playoffs, it was Travis Terry who led the Cardinals again.  Terry had 4 touchdowns and 264 yards on the ground.  The Cardinal defense contributed to the scoring with Mike Maycock's interception return for a touchdown.  Randolph will take on the undefeated Maple Grove Red Dragons next week.

10/17 - Randolph defeated Catt-LV 33-0:  The Randolph Cardinals are headed to the Class DD Playoffs as they upended Cattaraugus Little Valley 33-0 at their Homecoming game Friday night in Randolph.  The Cardinals were led by Travis Terry who scored 5 touchdowns.  Terry finished the night with 223 yards.  The Cardinal defense held Catt-LV to 99 total offensive yards.  This was Randolph's third shut-out of the 2008 season.

10/10 - Randolph defeated Chautauqua Lake 48-7:    A month ago, the Randolph Cardinals were sitting there thinking "we're in trouble"!  And they were in trouble they had just been beaten soundly by Portville and Maple Grove.  Now that we are a month later, those same Randolph Cardinals are starting to get their swagger back.  This week's victim The Chautauqua Lake T-Birds.

Travis Terry led the Cardinals by rushing for 163 yards on 13 carries.  On 6 of those 13 carries, Travis scored 6 touchdowns (a new school record).  Ramael Fields also had a rushing touchdown for Randolph.  The defense was led by Daniel Shaw who recorded 11 tackles.  Matt Hettenbaugh contributed on defense with 2 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries.  For the Thunder Birds, Tony Dechario had 125 yards and the ground and scored Chautauqua Lakes long touchdown.  Steve Kinny and Luke Nickerson led the T-Birds defense with 7 tackles each.

10/3 - Randolph defeated Frewsburg 29-2:  Randolph is gaining momentum on the 2008 Class DD High School Football Season.  A .500 team strolls on to the undefeated Frewsburg Bears home turf and shuts down a high powered offense and shreds the defense with a solid running attack led by Travis Terry who had 253 yds on 22 carries.  Terry also had 3 touchdown runs of 31, 13 and 16 yards.  Fields pitched in with a 13 yard run late in the game to seal the victory for the Cardinals.  The Cardinal defense held the Bears to under 150 yards of total offense.  Is it too late for the Cardinals to make a playoff run?

9/26 - Randolph defeated Pine Valley 47-0:  The Randolph Cardinals hosted Pine Valley Friday night and they showed what Randolph football is all about.  Randolph dominated Pine Valley in all phases of the game.   Randolph had 430 yards rushing on the night led by Alan Lockwood with 136.  The Randolph defense held Pine Valley team to just under 90 yards of total offense.  Randolph will travel to Frewsburg next Friday night to take on the undefeated Bears.

9/19 - Randolph defeated Franklinville 40-0:  The Randolph Cardinals got their first win of the year.  Alan Lockwood led the Randolph ground game by racking up 118 yards on 11 carries and scoring 2 touchdowns.  Mike Maycock threw 2 touchdown passes to Dan Shaw to lead the Cardinals air attack.  Defensively, Matt Hettenbaugh returned an interception for a touchdown.

9/12 - Maple Grove defeated Randolph 37-6:  The Randolph Cardinals found out what it is like to get thoroughly dominated and it happened Friday night in Randolph.

Maple Grove came into town Friday night and by halftime the Red Dragons had a 37-0 halftime lead.  The second half of the game Maple Grove stuck to the ground game and Randolph never could get anything going offensively.  Randolph and Maple Grove played their reserves for most of the fourth quarter.

Chris Secky was 9-17 in the air for the Red Dragons.  Secky ended up with 186 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Joe Caparole had 142 yards receiving and 6 receptions.
