The Tar Heels defeated the Cardinals 50-48:
Two of the league’s top players faced off as
Cody Oldro of the Cardinals faced off
against Zack Panebianco’s Tar Heels.
Oldro finished with 30 points but it was
Panebianco’s Tar Heels who prevailed, 50-48.
Panebianco scored 21 points and Ben Larson
added 12. For the Cardinals, Kyle
Beaver scored nine.
1/30 - The Tar Heels defeated the T-Birds
40-32: Zack Panebiano poured in 19
points to help the Tar Heels close out the
T-Birds, 40-32 in league play from the
Levant Weslyan Church. Stephen Carlson
scored 11 points and Ben Larson chipped in
with six for the Tar Heels. Ian Clute led
the way for the T-Birds with 16 points while
Ryan Miller score six.
1/23 - The Tar Heels defeated Bemus Point
59-42: The Tar Heels knocked off
Bemus Point, 59-42, in action from the Tom
Buttafaro Youth Basketball League held at
the Levant Weslyan Church. With the
win, the Tar Heels remain undefeated on the
season at 4-0. Zack Panebianco was
responsible for most of the offense with 24
points and Ben Larson chipped in with 14 for
the Tar Heels. Bemus Point was hot
from the 3-point line, finishing with six
made from behind the arc as a team. Graham
Soffel netted 16 points and Corey Weffing
11.
1/16 - The Tar Heels defeated Soulpepper
61-13:
The Tar Heels jumped out to a big lead and
never looked back as they defeated Soul
Pepper, 61-13. Zack Panebianco scored
17 of his 19 points in the first half for
the Tar Heels, Stephen Carlson added 12 and
Ben Larson 10. For Soul Pepper,
Scuyler Westley netted seven points.
1/2 - The Tar Heels defeated the Blue Devils
42-19:
Zack Panebianco scored a game-high 23 points
to lead the Tar Heels past the Blue Devils,
42-19, in the opening week of the Jamestown
YMCAás Tom Buttafaro Youth Basketball League
at Saturdayás game held at Levant Wesleyan
Church in Falconer. Ben Larson
contributed to the winning effort with 10
